VILLAMARTÍN GOLF CLUB

Villamartin Golf has established itself as a prominent golf course in the Valencia region since its inception in 1972.

The course was designed by John Puttman, who previously worked on the renowned La Manga Club. With over 50 years of lush vegetation, picturesque views of the Mediterranean, and spacious greens, Villamartin Golf has attracted numerous international golf stars. The layout at Villamartin takes full advantage of the natural, undulating terrain with Olive trees lining the fairways and elevated tees providing scenic panoramic views.

The course’s greens are particularly prestigious, with notable holes like the 17th requiring players to navigate a tree-lined stream before reaching a large, two-tiered green. The golf course has fostered a vibrant and diverse community of players from across Europe who have chosen to live in the area, with golf and the Villamartin course being integral to their lifestyle.

The front and back nine are very different. While the first nine runs across the higher ground of the club, and provides great views of the Mediterranean coastline, the back nine runs through valleys among the ravines.

In 1994 they hosted the Mediterranean Open, which was won by Olazabal. The recently renovated Club House features a magnificent restaurant with a balcony offering breathtaking views of the 18th hole. Undoubtedly, Villamartin Golf is one of the top courses in both the Valencia region and the broader region.
