Mijas Golf Club is regarded as one of the best golf courses in Costa del Sol. It is suitable for a wide range of levels; low handicappers will find a nice challenge, whereas intermediate players and high handicappers will be pleased by the playability that slightly wider fairways can offer.

Both courses are set at a slight elevation, making it a great resort experience for your golf vacation with buggies optional, rather than mandatory. There are short walks between tee boxes and greens, and the terrain is flat as the course winds through established olive trees and lakes that bear the names of the golf courses in Mijas:

LOS LAGOS COURSE. As the name suggests, Los Lagos has a lot of water – in fact, there are nine lakes scattered throughout the course, posing a constant threat to the golfer. The course is manageable for the average golfer, with relatively forgiving fairways, yet will challenge even the most skilled of players. 

LOS OLIVOS COURSE has a very different style than Lagos. The focus isn’t so much on the power, but accuracy in order to find the tree-lined fairways and small, undulating putting surfaces. Expect more difficulty off the tee, as well as in the noticeably elevated greens that require the perfect distance to see a ball hold the green.
